ACS (the Association of Convenience Stores) has announced the shortlist for the 2022 Innovation Showcase, taking place on 9th November in Manchester.
The Innovation Showcase is the unique chance for retailers and suppliers to come together to explore the latest products and services set to transform the sector.
This event provides an opportunity for suppliers to showcase a product or service that has been launched in 2022 or will be launching in the future and shows clear innovation in the retail industry.
A panel of retailers will then offer their expert opinion on each entry.
The following companies were selected by ACS’ Independent Board and have been shortlisted to demonstrate their product or service at the event:
- Blockhead – functional gum and mints, including products that help tackle Seasonal Affective Disorder, deal with stress, enhance sleep, aid muscle recovery, and improve oral health
- DoubleCOOL – suppliers of energy efficient, double pane acrylic refrigerator doors to the best-known supermarket chains, franchises, and corner shops
- Glory Global – cash automation technologies and process engineering services help businesses in more than 100 countries optimize the handling, movement, and management of cash
- Molson Coors – Madrí Excepcional, a new 4.6% modern European-style lager
- Nix & Kix – drinks brand based in London that produces natural soft drinks without refined sugars, artificial flavourings or additives
- Too Good To Go – an app that connects customers to restaurants and stores that have surplus unsold food
Delegates will also hear from external speakers Buyerdock in partnership with GS1 who will be giving a presentation to open the Showcase.

The Innovation Showcase will be followed by the Hosted One2Ones, which allows retailers, Club and Premier Club members to meet and connect through face-to-face meetings, allowing the suppliers to introduce their services and create potential business opportunities. There will also be the chance to attend a networking dinner in the evening in the heart of Manchester where attendees can continue to build on relationships and conversations from earlier in the day.
