Assured Advice Guides For Your Business

Assured Advice Guides For Your Business

ACS is encouraging retailers to sign up for Assured Advice and benefit from industry leading best practice on a range of issues affecting a convenience store business.

All guides have been updated for 2017 and ACS is recommending that retailers look over the new guides for policy changes and any relevant changes they will have to make in-store as a result.

Assured Advice has been developed for convenience store owners by ACS and Surrey County Council. By signing up to ACS’ Assured Advice primary authority scheme and following the guidance, your store procedures must be respected by ALL local enforcement officers, including environmental health, police and trading standards – but you must sign up to the scheme to benefit from this privilege.

ACS Assured Advice is free of charge for ACS members. We currently offer Assured Advice on the following topics:

  • Managing Health and Safety
  • Tobacco Display Ban
  • Fire Safety
  • Food Safety and Hygiene
  • Weights and Measures
  • Preventing Underage Sales
  • Selling Fireworks
  • Product Safety
  • Fair Trading

All of the guides can be viewed on the advice section of the ACS website here, with extra materials available for ACS members. For more information on how to sign up to Assured Advice, click here.
