ACS has announced a selection of industry experts to speak at the ACS Crime Seminar, including a special message from Lynne Featherstone MP, the Home Office Crime Prevention Minister.  The event will take place on 5th March at Methodist Central Hall, London.

The Crime Seminar will also feature the launch of the ACS Crime Report 2015. The Report brings together the experiences of criminal activity from over 3,500 independent convenience retailers, providing an insight into the impact of crime on convenience stores.

ACS Chief Executive, James Lowman, said: “Tackling crime is one of the biggest challenges retailers face. The ACS Crime Report and Crime Seminar provide retailers with the opportunity to share best practice, hear from industry experts and uncover the most proactive ways to reduce crime in their store”.

Confirmed speakers at the Crime Seminar include: Nick Hunt – Head of Tackling Crime Unit, Home Office; Dr. James Hunter – Project Lead and Laura Garius – Shop Theft Risk Analyst, Nottingham Trent University; Andy Magromallis – Head of Operational Risk, Discovery Risk Solutions; Andy Martin – Business Development Manager for Retail (Northern Europe), Axis Communications; Anthony Simpson – Co-operative Group UK, Regional Loss Prevention Manager; Amit Patel – Independent Retailer; and PC Chris Molnar – Neighbourhood Policing Team, Bexley.
