Supplier News: Clearworld and Utility Team announce new partnership as part of commitment to helping customers achieve Net Zero

Clearworld and Utility Team are delighted to announce a new, long-term, strategic partnership as part of their unwavering commitment to making Net Zero happen. The groundbreaking collaboration will not only help customers become more energy efficient and in doing so reduce their energy costs, it will also help clients take big strides towards achieving Net Zero.

The Clearworld team comprises experienced sustainability and energy reduction practitioners, who have been engaged with the huge changes across the Utility and Carbon Management markets. Bringing many years’ experience in implementing energy efficiency solutions, they have helped large multi-sited organisations such as Morrisons and Moto achieve their sustainability targets and realise the financial benefits of streamlining energy consumption. By adding the energy strategy and procurement expertise of Utility Team, the new partnership can deliver an end-to-end solution to customers.

Utility Team, one of the country’s leading and award winning energy consultants, has implemented a number of carbon reduction strategies for organisations such as DPD and Thales over the last 12 months. These strategies have delivered significant commercial and environmental benefits. The Coventry based organisation has been strengthening its portfolio of services over the last 18 months and, with the addition of the Clearworld partnership, now has a market leading carbon reduction offering.

The UK Government has committed to a Net Zero carbon emissions target by 2050. Why? Because science is telling us is that we must limit global warming to well below 2˚C – ideally 1.5˚C – if we are to avert the most catastrophic impacts of climate change. In practice, that means we need to reduce emissions by 7.6% every year to 2030. Starting right now.

Clearworld and Utility Team have already been able to demonstrate the benefit of their partnership to Blackpool Football Club. An initial energy audit has identified substantial operational cost savings that also provide an important reduction in carbon output. This is on top of the impressive cost saving of c.£150,000 that Utility Team delivered earlier this year as part of its partnership with the club.
