The Association of Convenience Stores has welcomed an update from the Competition and Markets Authority on competition in the grocery market, reiterating the financial pressures that convenience retailers are facing with extraordinarily high costs.

ACS (the Association of Convenience Stores) has responded to a consultation from the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero, calling for better regulation of the energy market and greater protections for small businesses.

Entries are now open for this year’s Raj Aggarwal Trophy, a trophy awarded to convenience retailers who have been exceptional in community retailing and helping their fellow retailers.

The trophy was first launched in 2021 to mark the legacy of independent retailer Raj Aggarwal.

This week (3rd -9th July) is ASB (Anti-Social Behaviour) Awareness Week which aims to raise awareness about the detrimental impact that anti-social behaviour has on people and encourages communities to take a stand against this type of behaviour.
